i can't do it, /g/
i've spent the past half hour looking to get infected by any interesting virus, and it's just not happening. i've disabled windows defender, i've clicked every fucking shady link i ran into, but it's just not happening.
the best catch i got was a "runescape account hacker" that was actually a keylogger. it disabled my task manager, after i re-enabled from registry i could literally just delete it.
how do people *ever* get infected? i even clicked shady .js attachments in my mail and it just threw an error while i knew that it was some sort of cryptolocker.
help my dreams of seeing a cryptolocker at work plz
Try looking for Windows 10 activator and download anything in your path, you're guaranteed to get at least 50 spyware blasting on your screen, had it happen last night

I know that fee anon. I downloaded a virus database that held viruses for testing. When I unpacked I found the archive was corrupt.
I torrented three games and still got nothing. I torrent all seasons of game of thrones, I downloaded Minecraft_texture_packs.zip.exe. Nothing. I'm thinking people have to be targeted to get viruses, or its all a hoax.
how are you so sure you didn't get infected? a half hour isn't much time for a virus to replicate in memory.
just let your pc to a woman.
You're not spending nearly enough time in the .ru and .cn domains.

Torrenting is one of the safest ways to avoid a virus...
You have to go to disable your ad blocker, go to shady porn sites, click all adds. Go to movie streaming sites and (non-official) live TV streaming sites, click all ads.
Google how to download anything that's popular, especially movies. Click those download links, click the fake download links, click everything.

This.My mother in-law would have that computer so infected, the botnets would have botnets.
>>53937226
wrong. cyptolockers hardly ever infect their own, too easy to be traced
From my time at Geek Squad and being the family tech support (of course), malware for the most part comes from free movie/TV show websites and from people trying to download legitimate programs but just clicking on whatever appears first on google without reading.
>>53937259
same here. my step mother would install all browser toolbars plus fake antivirus plus utility app making the pc so infected with crap it can hardly move. she never caught a cryptolocker though. i think people are targeted directly for that. In fact, where I worked before we got infected and encrypted and lost a great deal of stuff since nobody felt like paying

i tried to get fake AVs, but can't find them anywhere
>>53937324
try using bing or yahoo instead of google. google filters malware
>>53937324
Search for free movies, and disable adblocker.
You'll get them in no time.
>>53937361
all i can get is pic related and those are boring search engine hijackers
>>53937154
because nothing is happening, there's no trace of the programs hooking into anything at all, no dll injection, no startup entries, absolutely nothing - either it's an impressive and interesting feat, or the program sucks
the js has been in my inbox for a few weeks now, odds are it's failing because the domain the actual malware was hosted on got taken down

You might want to try this one, it's the most complex virus I've ever had on any of my computers

What about this one https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows
Not even its creators understand it

I still have no fucking clue how they manage to install every fucking toolbar there is.
You aren't looking in the right places. I do some malware analysis and I've got tons of samples, angler, Zeus, different ransomware.
If you want an easy place to start go to places like virustotal and download the files uploaded there
>>53937638
how do i download from virustotal?
>>53937658
The samples are right there. If you cannot navigate a simple web page it's amazing you haven't infected yourself from normal usage.

@ 11:17, this should be a cryptolocker
When i try yo access the website , mozilla is doing this (pic related)
>>53937743
If you open up the community page and click on an individuals profile, you can find the infected files they've uploaded.

LimeWire
also shady porn sites, such as out-of-the-way hentai sites, or anything with dubious or really eye-catching claims of free porn
>>53937811
there we go, thank you
You need to refine your searches.
Use Yahoo to find some even dodgier search engine taskbar, and then go ham. But those are casual PUPs. Go torrent some stuff that hasn't released yet (e.g. overwatch torrent).
