Emacs. I forced myself to use VIM for a month, but switched back to Emacs. Main reasons were indentation, VIM is just to 'dumb' to correctly indent code. Another major issue was copying if I wanted to copy between files I had to use sed (at the time I was using VIM in terminal). Maybe copying is better in gVIM, but i haven't tried it yet. Emacs works wonderfully for me.

Well vim's default tab is dumb, but == should generally work. What do you mean copy between files? Were you using "set clipboard=unnamedplus
" ? Emacs sucks in this regard because you can't use the clipboard in the terminal (you have to use something like xclip.el
