Favorite firewall and anti-virus, and maintenance programs, etc., for windows 10?

guys cmon... I actually really need a firewall.
I'm currently using one called glasswire and for some reason it's using a huge amount my harddrives performance even in idle. Don't know why.
I know that this isn't supposed to be a place to ask for tech support but... Halp please

Properly configured router. Not currently, but in the past I even used one router (provided by my ISP) and daisy-chained a second router to it and ran my entire home network through the second router.
Reason: my ISP required that I use their provided router so they could "do maintenance remotely" on my Internet connection. So, fine. They can "maintain" the Internet connection all the fuck they want, but good luck getting through my secondary router.
Antivirus has been MSE plus common sense for about 15 years. Last virus infection I had was on a Win98 machine before the Cheney administration came into power.

that sounds fucked honestly. would they call you up or something and ask you why you switched routers or anything?
I still have no idea why my current firewall is acting so strange. anybody have any idea?

Avast, tiny firewall, malewarebytes, and ccleaner.
Firefox with noscript, ublock orgin. Self-destruct cookies and https everywhere to keep from being tracked.

uMatrix works better than NoScript.
>>53931246
Holy fuck I used the same exact setup while I was using windows. I just used uMatrix and had NoScript global allow.

You're probably looking for HIPS. I've tried a few, including Comodo firewall and Online Armor. I read a bunch of reviews as well. Comodo firewall went to shit with the 6.0 update, so I switched to Online Armor and have been using it ever since. This is probably your best bet.

Common sense is not enough nowadays. People are making more proactive actions to get to people nowadays.
>wait til leave for work and the wreak havoc on all my shit while away.
>shit got leaked and left embarrassed
I learned the hard way Common sense is only half the battle.

Not if you list an application's title with no explanation whatsoever. I expect a little bit of elaboration from you if you expect people to be interested in the software you list.
>>53929660
just call microsoft support, they will guide you if you have any problems
>>53932030
Yea because you probably have no common sense. Idiot.
>>53931525
Using none of the addons mentioned there, if you used common sense before getting addons they're obviously useless shit with possible exploitable weaknesses - sure enver expected noscript to be exploitable but again I don't use it.
