I've had a chuwi hi8 with 128gb sd card for a week now and I absolutely love it. The battery life isn't fantastic but I'm not finding it slow at all and this isn't even the PRO model with the much more powerful CPU.
1920x1200, 2gb ram, almost 140gb of storage, streams games perfectly, plays slightly older games itself perfectly, browses perfectly. I really have no complaints with it.

Bought an Onda V820w at the end of last year, for bed web browsing, streams and manga. Has been working like a champ, but took around 2 days to find all the drivers when I fresh formatted 10 (android would have zero usage and was a waste of space).
I did advise my normie cousin against buying one though, I am already enough os his tech support as is. He got an asus t100 instead.
I'm still using an Ipad Mini 2. Works like a charm and the screen is gorgeous, easily can get 10 hours on the battery.

Yep, it has defects. Battery life is poor at 5 hours of constant use, has a single speaker that sounds like total dogshit, and the audio jack is finicky and will sometimes incorrectly detect headphones as a headset. On the other hand, it cost me 80 bucks, the specs are adequate, and if you're up to it, the speaker, jack and battery can be replaced.
Android side is solid enough for daily use, can be rooted, and you can install xposed to get more functionality out of it, but you're stuck on 4.4.4.
Windows 10 works fine, but if you're updating from 8.1, you better keep a backup of the drivers, because W10 will attempt to update them and fuck up everything in the process.
I still use it in favor of the laptop. 5 hours of use is still pretty average for a laptop, even if it's downright mediocre for a tablet. Carrying an external battery with you, you still get lower weight and space used than a laptop.
