I think it's odd to use bitmap fonts in the panel when everything else is using modern anti-aliased characters. Additionally, Eva is considered harmful and while the transparent terminal background doesn't actually look that bad in this specific instance I'd still suggest against using it.

The windows/boarders of my web browser. I will admit I do like how some people have it with almost no border.
My screen resolution can only get to 1600x900 (laptop) but sometimes I think using a tiling manager might make my use easier.
I'm not that comfortable in terminal yet, so running cmus/mpd for music isn't an option. Nor is using IRC in terminal an option either.

In minimalism there's a good trade off between viability and effort. You mostly have to focus on colors and fonts and you can still make it look very good.
For example if you use graphical icons then you will have to make your rice match them (unless you make them yourself which is too much effort and it will probably look shit if you're not a graphical designer) whereas if you use font icons or simple images (ACYL) all you have to do is find a color that matches the overall color scheme and it will look good.
