Cases are completely retarded I've literally never needed one. There have been times where my Q10 has gotten flung against a wall and it still turns out fine.

Note 3 has removable back. You can upgrade yourself. I think note 4 also has a removable back but I heard there's some issues about certain games not working.

Hey I have a note 2 since 2012 and I was about to do the same thing.
The few times I was brave enough to use it without a case people thought it was some new flagship or the s7 or something.
I keep my shit so I don't need a case. Now my friend likes throwing shit when he gets mad and I swear everything he owns has scratches. That fucker puts cases and screen protectors, yet still messes it all up.
