Look at the second webm, it's detected as a removable storage device. All he did was replace the data portions of the floppy drive with a separate SD card reader, aligned with the gap in the disk. The floppy drive is only being used as a lever to slide open the floppy disk, which is only being used as an SD card caddy.

I had a friend whose Compaq had one of those.
We didn't know anyone else with that drive format, so it was useless for sneakernetting, and the disks weren't available at the local Office Depot, so it was limited to the 120MB disk it came with.
The most use we got out of it was laughing at how it was recognized as FLOPTICAL at boot.

They were super unreliable, you had to put the superdisks in two or three times to get them to read. For about two weeks I thought I was hot shit because mine was 20 MB bigger than a Zip. The LS120 was grinding, the Zip was clicking, and we all went back to CDRs until flash drives happened a couple of years later.
I still have my LS120 drive. I last used it around 2001 to migrate a disk for a friend. It was porn and I kept a copy for myself.
