I googled it but got mixed answers, when gaming with virtual surround headphones in games that don't have a "surround sound headphone" option, do you use the stereo output or the real 7.1 surround ouput?

I had g930s at one point and windows picked it up as a 7.1 device. So in games use 7.1.
