Hey /g/!
want you opinion on something. I'm finally moving away from windows. Im sick of spyware and all the other stuff. Im not new to linux, but its been a while since I used it.

im thinking of encrypt my disk as I install. Whats your opinion on that? im a bit security freak and dont like the idea that anyone can see/acess my files. But maybe its better to do it after with truecrypt/vera crypt? Is there gonna be any problems installing things on the system with an encrypted disk?

On Ubuntu and a few other distros enabling encryption with dmcrypt/LUKS is as simple as ticking the box saying "encrypt my drive" in the installer.

It encrypts everything except for a small unencrypted "boot" partition.
