Interface is dogshit.
Video playback is decent, but seeking leads to weird artifacts.
It isn't awful. It's just not good.
best all around player for video

mpv is better but this get's the job done
On windows video playback is shit. In gnu linux it is decent with nvidia and intel gpus. I prefer mpc hc on the botnet OS.
Fails to smoothly decode a video that Windows 10's Movies and TV app plays back flawlessly. Yes, I've tinkered with just about every relevant setting to make it work, but open source fails again.
