IBM is already on a 7nm SiGe process, slated for commercial production by the 2018.
It won't make it into the consumer space, but 7nm is already a reality.

This isn't gonna happen. They're trying to quantify the unquantifiable. Before we can begin to emulate a human brain/monkey brain/mouse brain let alone an ant brain we have to understand how it fucking works. It's not even the issue of having a computer with unlimited processing power-that's not the hard part. I can understand if these AI fags are saying "so we're gonna be able to put a really powerful computer in a box" before 2020, but as of now, and especially since neurology is still an infantile field we might as well be talking about magic when anyone says the word "brain".

SB was 32nm in 2011. 32nm itself was commercially released as Westmere/Gulftown in '10
