My grandmother has an Iphone 5s with 16gb storage.
It doesnt have enough space to actually download and install updates, I have to do it for her using Itunes on her computer. Its awful, im not sure why they even still offer a 16gb with the Iphone 6s

PNY, yes not the best quality or fastest but pretty good for the price its a tier below SanDisk. Patriot makes pretty reliable SSDs so their SDs should be okay, cant complain at the price although the speed is somewhat slower than SanDisk.

Because NAND storage is cheap as fuck and the cameras on modern smartphones take huge pictures. There's no reason to cheap out on storage, or to charge 300 dollars extra for 128gb. The least they could do is install a 10 cent adapter that allows people to use microSD to expand their media storage.
