If you are a casual, fine, otherwise: First everyone thinks that, but later they find out that many tools you need don't even have a GUI and you can do repetitive tasks much faster in terminal (like using Git), installing applications you installed 100 times already (apt-get)..etc. Right now, I am developing cli modules for my applications to do some extra administrative tasks with them, writing a cli app takes much less time than writing gui that doesn't even worth the trouble.
