Always a problem having the desktop on the desk with speaker placement. Really not a problem if it "just werks". I had a huge sound system on my desk and had to downgrade because everything felt like overkill. I primarily use a laptop, but don't bother changing anything on your setup since it is clean. Still way better than the guys with little figurines on their desks that they probably hot glue too often.

Its 22", that really isnt small, i dont need a 30" display to watch youtube and shitpost. The dock lifts the thinkpad off the table so im not too worried. iI the speakers arent like that (ie. standing up on their bases) they sound like crap because they are behind the monitor, and the cables arent long enough to do really anything else.

I still have a good amount of desk space in front of the monitors. I have looked into getting arms that let me have them further back and give them a wider range of motion, but they get expensive fast. My station is very comfortable, I do need to get a new chair sometime though.

I usually have my email on one screen, a video on another, lainchan and 4chan on one of the big screens and other sites on the other 30 inch. I play games/movies/etc. on the 30 inch screens as well. They are 1600p, which makes them great for use with i3wm. I used to have 7 screens, but I downscaled for better GNU/Linux support. When I had 7 screens some of them weren't as good, so I still have more pixels now compared to when I had 7.
heres my workstation. i'm a poorfag with an $80 chromebook upgraded to 120GB ssd and 8GB ram. Open source bios and linux with all drivers. I work at a shop that does about 100G a month, one of four techs - so I'm not really home often enough for much more.

The room currently is like a yellowish tan with the back wall red on the bottom half with a little shelf above the split. It seems awfully bright for a TV room, but atleast it won't feel to dark.
Looking at the home depot paint app, a midnight blue or dark gray seem like they would look pretty nice and be good at cutting down on glare. If it isn't too dark of a color it shouldn't feel too bad during the day I hope.
Bedroom in a medium green might be nice.
What kind of red did you have? Anything super bright seems it would be too strong and fucking with colors of everything else due to reflections.

Why the TV wall? Overlaying in the app the midnight blue around my current TV wall looks potentially pretty nice though, but the blue tone might effect the color of the screen. Feel like neutral medium to dark gray would be a nice back drop to the screen but not effect color. Also doing walls half and half is weird. Maybe just the bottom half of the back wall for the shelf area I would do differently.
Midnight blue for my office and workstation might be nice though. I have one of the bright blue embody chairs and then mostly black hardware and desk. Should feel pretty cozy.

I want dark colors behind my tv/monitors. It also looks quite awesome if you bother to rice it with led.
After some time the eye will get used to it and it won't affect you as much as you think it would.Think about movies/series that you watch and they have black leftovers bottom+top or left and right.Does it bother you?And if yes,wouldn't a bright color bother you more?
