Currently looking at two different monitors:
http://www.ebuyer.com/720610-aoc-g2770pf-27-full-hd-freesync-monitor-g2770pf
http://www.ebuyer.com/620273-benq-xl2411z-24-144mhz-led-dvi-hdmi-monitor-9h-l9slb-rbe
I'm personally leaning towards the BenQ however some people online say to make sure the monitor is FreeSync
(Yes I use AMD)
Is it that important?

2nd Monitor

I would rather buy the 2411z. 1080p at 27 is not really great.

I have an LG 24 Inch 144hz and its great
>>
>>53827810
Also, Only buy Freesync if you have an AMD Card. The LG 144hz Monitor doesn't have Freesync, but its still worth it
>>
>>53827810
ok ty
>>
>>53827565
don't go 27" with 1080p. looks shitty.

freesync can be nice for some games but doesn't always work for me. not really a must have in my book.
I only use it on 60hz though so it might be more crucial on a 144hz monitor.

I hope you don't mind if I piggy back on your thread.

I'm looking for a new TV for my living room, I've got a PC hooked up to it and I'm not the only one using it so size matters. Thing is though nearly all the TVs I was looking at are full of smart TV cancer and other worthless gimmicks/bloat ballooning the price significantly all while having shit response times and lying about their refresh rates.

And all the monitors I was looking at were pretty small and not really suitable when 3 or 4 people want to watch or play something together, well until I saw this monitor by some no name Korean company "wasabi mango". It seems to have everything I could want, ISP, 4k/60hz, HDMI 2.0 x2 and a DP 1.2, fairly low latency for such a large display, and it apparently supports Freesync as well, and since I also have an AMD card that supports it seems all too perfect. So I come back to the fact it's from some no name Korean company. Anyone hear of these fucks? Anyone know anything about this thing? Am I missing some crucial detail that makes this thing shit? Is this some kind of scam? Why aren't there more monitors this size? I can't be the only person with a PC hooked up in his living room. I'd probably buy this immediately if it was from a reputable name.

Same brand as yours but maybe you'll feel more safe if the product is under a reputable distributor

The BenQ is not FreeSync.
>>
>>53828552
>however some people online say to make sure the monitor is FreeSync
Which is the alternative.
>>
>>53828567
FreeSync looks nice, but it's not absolutely essential. The BenQ is one of the best 1080p 144hz monitors you can get.
>>
>>53828460
While Philips is a more recognizable name 40" is kinda small, I've got a 46" display in my bedroom and I already put that out in the living room for the time being and it's pretty small for the wall it's on I wasn't planning on going any smaller than 50"-55".

That's the 49" model and for roughly the same price newegg has the 55".

I dunno, guess I'll just bite the bullet and see what happens, hopefully I don't get fucked. Kinda wish there was a larger selection of monitors at this size.
>>
>>53827810
I would not get a xl2411z. The colors on it are pretty bad even for a TN panel. The 144hz LG monitor is way better.
>>
>>53828696
If you want good colors, just don't get a TN at all.
>>
>>53828653
Goodluck and godspeed friend
>>
>>53828653
I wouldn't risk it. Just get a normal TV.
>>
>>53828841
Do you have any in mind?

From what I was looking at all the HDTVs were fucking shit, god awful input lag, smart TV bullshit I'll never use, worthless bullshit features like motion smoothing and 4th color pixel which doesn't help with color accuracy because they almost always have shit colors, and you can basically tack an extra $300 on the price.

TVs seem like a total fucking waste of time, unless I overlooked major here. I'm far closer to getting that Philips the other anon suggested than I am to just settling for a shit TV.

>>53829145
even the fastest TVs have way longer response times than slow monitors, don't do it if you want to play pc games

Yeah I know that, it's why I started looking for monitors in the first place, the only problem with that is finding monitors in the 50"+ range is kinda hard because apparently the only decent one is no-name korean shit.
