According to the forum admin:

>Its being worked on if you would follow the Github page.

https://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php/topic,3982.msg21677.html#msg21677

Indeed, it is being worked on. You can now see the progress being made on this Github pull request.

https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/pull/4253

Seems to be a totally flat icon theme so far, and they are working on replacing ALL of the icons in qBittorrent.

Looks like this is possibly headed to qBittorrent 3.4 at the earliest, but things can change.

As always, people with a github account who want to be a part of qBittorrent's new look should contribute suggestions, more icons, tweaks, etc.

What does /g/ think so far?

NSA updating their botnet client

Ebin flat meme
>>
still not enough
Qt even allows you to style sheet the shit out of apps
>>
Wow, I was expecting a huge overhaul but it's literally nothing, had to google what it used to look like to see the difference
>>
>>53822138
This is just the first step.
>>
>>53822138
>had to google what it used to look like to see the difference

lol if you really had to do this you must have something wrong with your brain.
>>
>>53822171
explain the differences in text and then tell me it doesn't sound like nothing
>>
>>53822164
What's the next step?
>>
>>53822242
Redoing the panels and tab layout, reworking the settings menu, and making it fit in more with the Windows 10 look.

By 4.0, it will look completely different, and Windows 10 friendly.
>>
>>53822064

kek they need to get their priorities right it's still a piece of shit it needs a functionality refresh
>>
>>53822300
>it's still a piece of shit it needs a functionality refresh

lol yeah the more they fix stuff, the more they fuck shit up.
>>
I'm a linux user so those changes don't affect me since it uses the icons from my theme.
>>
I'm not autistic enough to care about how it looks as long as it works well and is Open Source.

That's not a speed graph, it's a button to change to an alternative speed limit.

Majority prefer flat over last generation dated ugly Skeuomorphism/emboss/aero/"fancy" shit. Move on grandpa or step aside.
>>
>>53822291
I'll believe it when I see it
Would be nice to have a torrent program that looked like it was from this century
The icons are a nice start but hardly anything to write home about
>>
Eh. If it was 5 months ago I would care, but there's just no reason to use it when Transmission is a thing. That thing at least has a tendency to download the torrents you want.
>>
>>53822064
I don't like it.
>>
>>53822693
No they don't. Just look at how "popular" Windows 8 was.
They're having to force/trick people into using Windows 10.

It looks more like a Windows XP program than it does a Windows Vista/7 "Aero" one

>>
>>53822712
Wrong. Flat is modern and many of the fortune 500 companies agree. This is the right way.
>>
>>53822706
>Just look at how "popular" Windows 8 was.

That has nothing to do with "people not wanting flat UI". That was because of their stupid start screen and removal of the start menu.

Look at Material Design on Android and tell me that people don't jizz themselves over flat UI in general.

iOS and OSX even had to flatten because people want speed, not gay 3d effects and GPU eating animations.
>>
>>53822706
What does that have to do with flat design?
I think you'll find that there were other reasons people didn't want to use Windows 8 and why they don't want to use Windows 10 now. It has nothing to do with the design.
>>
>>53822722
What? It looks like shit now, just a different even older type of shit than the post I was replying to said it was. I'd actually prefer a more modern design.
>>
>>53822242
Crashing this plane.
>>
>>53822722

Flat is not only modern, but the absolute best way to do a screen UI.
>>
>>53822741
Even the "flat" interfaces have gay effects and GPU eating animations
>>
>>53822619
I wish. I used 2.2.1 until it started crashing on me for no apparent reason, never got it back to working so I switched over to qb couple years back.

>>

flat is only modern in mobile first applications.
you shouldnt shove the flat meme into a desktop client.

It's fine, I used O&O ShutUp 10, Spybot AntiBeacon, W10 Privacy & Aegis and finally a hardware firewall to make sure I take part in no botnet.

The start screen is a part of their flat UI cancer, as well as the removal of aero transparency.

Nobody wanted aero transparency removed except Microsoft, their shills, and some faggot "artists" trying to justify their existence.

Wow. That was the only thing which could be changed by your system icon theme. Coincidentally, the things which can't be changed, like the icons in the status bar or the status/label/tracker icons, remain the same.
Is this a joke?
