Instant and constant window redraws are such a waste of resources. Just put an outline in place and use the time saved to stop making the whole OS/DE a bloated piece of shit.
Then once that's worked out you can start on the aesthetics.
The only thing that makes things bearable is compton on AMD cards. And sometimes things like Chromium will just tear apart anyways.
I could never switch to linux because there's not a single DE that has been perfected to the point it works the same way as modern Windows or OSX do.
Which is by not lagging with animations on decent hardware or deciding that if you have a 60hz monitor you're a loser.
