Why are Samsung batteries so shit, I don't use it and the battery dies so quickly through the day. When it's close to 15% it just dies and goes to 0% WTFFF

Do you have a magnetic phone case?
>>
Are you leaving all your antennae on all the time? Is Google fetching email/whatever every 5 seconds?

>>
I was having this problem on my note 4 until a few weeks ago then I got an update and it lasts like it normally should now
>>
>Disable all useless apps
>Make sure your sync times aren't more frequent than they need to be
>Only turn location on when you need it (are you really using Google Maps more than once or twice a day?)
>Don't use the Facebook or Messenger apps
>Screen brightness on auto
>Turn off 'wifi always scanning' in settings
>Use Tasker to auto turn off Wifi when disconnected for X minutes

But yeah, to be honest, I still ended up rooting. Now I get 5+ hours SOT with greenify, amplify, advanced root-only Tasker functions etc

It's easier to leave it on GPS only.
>>

See all those lines and blips where the phone is awake but the screen isn't on? Some shit is draining your battery. I bet you're the same type of retard that complains Windows is running slow but never bothers to check task manager/services. Learn what's running on your own hardware.

I have a 3 year old nexus 10 and that happens with me, but the battery die at 41%.
I read somewhere that you can recalibrate the battery by using it until it dies and then charging it until it's complete. Doing that a few times should do the job.

In my case, that didn't work, i think it's because the battery is simply old.
>>
>>53775176
Official battery or OEM piece of shit you got off eBay/Amazon for $5?
>>
>>53778928
This.
Use GPS only. It is passive and consumes shit all power, less than wifi.
>>
>>53775176
I got an S6 and I get between 5 and 6 hours of screen on time. Maybe you just got bad luck.

It's the battery the phone came with, I use the default charger.
>>53778979
I've tried multiple decharge to 0 and recharge cycles
>>53778955
Don't assume random shit, i may not be a tech genius but give me some credit I'm no autismobot. It's always the same default apps using battery according to my phone. YouTube isnt usually on there tho

S7 fixed some batt life issues. I seriously tried to deplete the S7 battery to store it, and it lasted 15+ hours running Ass Creed Pirates, rendering the ocean.

I wish I was making this up.

Can't say I honestly agree with that, largely because any app that is using your Wifi/mobile data will also be keeping your device awake.

While those connections can stay active by the communication chips themselves without OS staying awake to facilitate them, any OS or app usage of them requires waking the device, just like GPS.

You can have location/GPS turned on but it won't actively maintain your position unless you have an application doing so, so it won't keep your device awake.
