qBittorrent 3.3.4 was released yesterday. Why aren't you using the best torrent client available?

uCucks and Tixati horsefuckers can have their proprietary pity party elsewhere.
>>
Because I already am using rtorrent.
>>
But I am. I was about to switch to Transmission, but I'll take stalled over malware any day.
>>
>>53771461
>LE STALLED MEME
I've been using qBT for a long time and this has never happened to me. Maybe it's because I'm not on Windows, I don't know.
>>
>>53771515
Pretty sure it has happened to non-Windows users as well though. Even if it was a bug in the Windows version it would still be the only client that exhibits that behaviour. It was working perfectly for me until it started stalling completely out of the blue, so just because it doesn't happen to you now doesn't mean it won't ever happen.

Use it while it works, but be prepared to jump ship at a moment's notice. There are a lot of decent alternatives, especially on Linux.
>>
>>53771515

Never happened to me either, I'm just going out in meme terms here.
>>
>>53771412
qBittorent goes Allahu Akbar every few months and deletes it's config.
>>
>>53771412
I've tried qBittorrent but I vastly prefer Transmission and Deluge.
>>
>>53771703
What are you talking about?
It's stored in
~/.config/qBittorrent/
so as long as you don't delete that folder or purge the package, it should stay there.
>>
>>53771751
Check the sjwhub issues or just jewgle it. It is a known issue for years.
>>
>>53771515
It stalls all the time, namely when the shitty tracker you're using rejects your client.
The only reason people dont whine or meme about it on other clients is that the others don't display the torrent in a standout colour when it happens.

But I am. Haha! I installed it yesterday.
>>
>>53771412
Because deluge is better.
Fuck the Qt framework. I will stick to GTK.

I just looked over the changelog. I saw nothing about correcting the stall issues this client has been facing for years. I'll gladly switch over as soon as the devs fix the problem. But at this rate I would not hold my breath.
>>

the stalling will never end

Where is windows version of transmission in the transmission download page?
>>

It's not stable yet so it's not on the frontpage. Don't use it until it makes the frontpage.
>>

I almost never open /g/. What is all this stall nonsense in the thread? I've never had a problem like this with qbittorrent if I'm understanding what people are posting.

tfw the qt3.14 torrent stalls in your client and rms isnt there to install gentoo g~daisuki???? xDDD
>>
>>53780339
I've never had any issues with it. Not him, either.

uTorrent is probably a lot more mature in design, but it's also the untrustworthy monstrosity that it was originally meant to be an alternative to. I'm also not a fucking autismo retard that runs ancient, unpatched versions of networking software.

Yep, it's so sad that it is pretty old unresolved bug
>>
>>53771746

Why do you prefer Deluge?
>>
>>53779656
it's a stupid meme
You get "stalled" when there are no seeders in the torrent
>>
>>53779656
You get the STALLED error because trackers are always retarded special snowflakes about which torrent clients they allow onto their networks.
QBittorrent wasn't updated for a long time back in the 2.7 days, then they suddenly jump to 3.0 and 3.1 and 3.2 and those retards behind the scenes can't keep up, and the QBittorrent developers are left handling the flack over something they have literally no control over.
>>
Anyone know why this piece of shit program decides to recheck all my 70+GB torrents every time I restart my computer? It's destroying my hard drive and takes like an hour..
>>
serious question, why are people not using halite? like why should I use qbit or deluge over it? not shilling, I've used all of them and just found out about it, looking on some insight about it
>>
But deluge works just fine for me
