Do people actually use widgets on Android? It's supposed to be one of the big advantages over iOS.
I have an S6 and the only widget I've found useful is the remote widget so you can use the IR blaster. For everything else it's just more efficient to have a shortcut and go the app itself.
I use a few.
widgets > littering your homescreen with app shortcuts (then calling people faggots later in desktop threads for having 2-3 icons on their desktop)
I use a weather widget and a checklist widget
yup. My homescreen is
left: Google Keep (notes)
middle: shortcuts
right: weather and news
I'd have my RSS feed on the right if it wasn't full of porn

Still better than iphones, even with all the software designed just for it sometimes less is less and more is more.
iphones have widgets

I tried using some of them but they either look fucking disgusting with zero customizability or they drain too much energy from that shitty 3mm thick battery
My most used widget is a 5x5 calender
I use a clock, Yahoo weather, net10 account balance and steam authenticator widgets.
Only zooper stuff for ricing

Nigga what year do you think it is

I don't. There's simply nothing that I really need to see every time I'm on the home screen. I don't really need to see the weather twenty times a day. I usually don't really need to see it even once a day.

I think Apple made a wise choice but not enabling home screen widgets, they can be ugly space takers. The only advantage widgets give me is being able to control multiple apps from one screen, ie podcast player widget with music widget but in most cases I have to enter the apps for specific functions or I just use the media player buttons in the notification dropdown.
Widgets are for normalfags

I suppose some might, i just have a clock and nothing else

Also i prefer sony's small apps or whatever they're called

I think its more about giving the user choice. Widgets allow me to make an invisible area of my screen that hides the taskbar and buttons
Flashlight widget. It's hilarious how iCuck owners have to open an app they paid $2.00 for to use their flashlight.

I have calendar widget.
Also use live wallpaper.

I love ripping on Apple as much as the next anon, but no. Just not even true. In fact it's more common for android users to have to download shot third party apps with ads that use your location and contact list for no discernible reason.

I haven't used iPhone since 2012. Good thing Apple got their shit together.
Podcast widget at the top of my home screen. Reason I wouldn't go iPhone
I have one calculator widget that takes up an entire screen. Only widget I've ever found to be quicker than opening the app.

I haven't used widgets since KLWP. Its not as responsive but I don't use any links or apps on my home screen anyways.
Google keep, poweramp and a weather widget.
yes. Torch, Widgetsoid, calculator, Google keep, etc

What podcast app do you use? I tend to just download mp3s and listen to them through google music (which I use a homescreen widget for)
