OP, if you have another device, you can hold T to put the mac into target disk mode and use a thunderbolt cable that will turn your shit drive into a giant flash drive essentially. Transfer data your other iCuck device that way. Unless the partition is too fucked and wont show up in the first place then not even one of those adapters will help you.
Just bootup a WinPE image with recovery tools that support hsf+ and recover the most data you can.

If the drive works then you just have a corrupted O/S, which is fixed by install.
If you don't any to learn how, use target disk mode, or take the flash and use a m.2/pcie to sata adapter/dock

Scratch that, I couldn't find a good x64 native recovery software, there is just x86 trash out there but you can clone the drive from the winPE boot to any external device and then use recovery tools from any other device.
