remove "quiet splash" from your kernel line in grub, use c or e to edit that when you are over the choice in question. That will cause systemd to tell you wich modules of the kernel is loading at the moment an thus, it will be easier to find a fix, if something is possible in linux that something is fixing fuck ups.
