is the apple extreme the only router that doesn't look like a plasticky "xtreme gaymer" ugly piece of shit? Seriously, i need a new 802.11ac router and i can't find one that doesn't look like it belongs in some teenager/autist's "gamer cave" next to their tower case with leds and a window. fuck that. Where are the aesthetic routers at?

do you absolutely need ac? because pic related supports n and that should be good enough for home usage

I need this!

5 ports are 100mbit only. And it uses 2 switch chips internally. If you need lots of advanced features for a small price, it will do the job.

ac is not an absolute necessity, no, but it would be nice to have as I do a lot of local network file moving. that one does look nice and understated though.

is this the kind of look you dislike? because this was cheap and is reliable as fuck

ubiquiti makes some nice-looking ac APs that are cheaper than cisco

If you don't wanna make a pfsense box with your choice of AP for wireless.

Who gives a fuck what it looks like OP? Just hide the fucking thing somewhere where you can't see it, like girls do with their vaginas.

it's pretty good, a bit pricey though. also the firmware isn't exactly user friendly.

it's also really fucking small, length and width of a tissue box.

my only beef with it is that it doesn't support 5ghz band.

OP sounds a spoiled little bitch who has to have everything his way or his ovaries get into an uproar.

Used to have the router in pic related and I loved it. The range was probably about 60ft through walls, you could share files from a usb drive over a network, and it streamed steam games with no problem.
