Go to the control panel turn on Adaptive Power Managment.
Reinstall GPU driver and make sure you use driver sweeper.
At idle I get a 36-38 temp on my 970. It's a decent card it's not the end all be all for Maxwell GPUs.
I'm tossing this shit as soon as I can for whoever get's better frames at 4k when I can.

I have a Quadro K2000 and R9 270 and I work with V-Ray. What renderer do you use since V-Ray RT sucks major dick and does having a K2000 in the second slot give me any advantages over my 270?

Now, I've seen all the bullshit people have encountered. DOA, high temps sometimes, coil whine seems pretty common too. But is the 390 any better?
