Technically you can have something like that it depends on the motherboard you have.I run 2 2. 4 atm on my pc and it works good enough.

In Linux I very rarely go over 2 or 3gb
In Windows I get close to 6 or 7gb but I've never gone over.

VMWare can drive a Windows desktop pretty well even without graphics card passthrough. Games are not the greatest but you can run some lowend 3D games. I was able to run assault cube at about 100 fps with a 1st gen mobile i7 and a radeon 5450 on my old laptop

It's not normal to be using 60% of memory in fucking idle.
Normally I wouldn't care but Windows doesn't free up memory which I expected it to do. The memory usage in task manager adds up to 1 GB or something.
