/g/ should I wait for Pascal or get a current 900 series? I game at 1080p currently, but Im thinking about upgrading to 1440p if it's cheap enough. Doubt I'd get 4K anytime soon. I planned on building a new rig from the bottom up this summer when classes are over and I can work more, Id base it around a skylake i5 6600k with 16GB ddr4 ram on a GIGABYTE GA-Z170X 6 mobo. Current graphics card considerations would be a GTX 970, an R9 390x, a Pascal card or a GTX 980 if it dropped cheap enough. It depends on the cost really, don't think I'd spend more than $400 on a card. What is the best for single-monitor, non-VR, 1440p gaming? Also, any particular brands recommended? I hear MSI is more powerful but made shitty, don't know about much else.
