nigger just buy a fucking tv or something
>>53703056
Planning on buying a new tv as well. But I need (not need, but heavily used to) an ultrawide for the things I do that aren't gaymen.
Also in cold war status with my Apple employee roommate who has so many macs I can't even keep track of them, where the only thing that matters is monitors. It's not a matter of money anymore, it's just a big dick stoking contest over who's the bigger faggot.
>>53702893
Does that have to be current market value? Or can it be MSRP at the time it was new?
>>53703033
Just pirate windows 10 pro or whatever.
>>53703152
Thanks lad, will do.
I paid > $500 for my GTX 680s back when they were just released. They ain't worth nearly that much now though
postin' cause I can, how you fags doing?
>>53704362
You can still get them under $500. But why aren't they worth that now?
>>53704418
>why isn't a video card from 2011 worth as much as it was when it was new?
gee I wonder
>>53704454
I mean, what other cards have made them so outdated to the point where it's still not the best bang for your buck to get two of them?
I suppose you could go with a single 980 TI but if that isn't enough, it's better to go with two 980's over two 980 TI's
$500 isn't much of a barrier. My keyboard is worth $500+.
>>53704515
wat keyboard senpai
>>53704515
>worth $500+
No, that's just how much you paid for it.
The Xeon X3210 in my spare parts desktop probably retailed for 500+ when it first came out.

Its just means you are better at saving money than others
Doez it count if my phone is 600 dollars

Nvidia gimping?
I don't really know where to post this, I would've gone to /r/ but threads are rather slow over there. Thought I'd ask here because it's not completely off topic.
Pic related is my primary build, but I'm also building a computer with the left over parts from my old build. Yesterday I came home with a new GPU, SSD and PSU to make those scraps useful. I've set everything up and the computer boots fine on integrated graphics, but I don't get any display when the GPU is installed. I've confirmed that the card isn't faulty, I got it working on my primary build without issue. This makes me think that it's either the PSU or PCI slot, but a 550W power supply should be more than capable of running an R9 270x and I had my 780ti working on this motherboard just a couple months ago, but now neither slots work? idk what's up. Got input which could help guys?

Pretty easy to do
i spent >500 on peripherals
>>53702893
where can i subscribe?

This.
It should really be;
>$500 = shit tier
>$1000 =bronze
>$1500 = silver
>$2000 = gold
>$3000 = platinum
>implying $500 is anything
>>53703102
hint: you're the bigger faggot
>>53707084
>>53707123
OP said a single component over $500. The only mainstream part worth over $500 is a 980Ti or R9 Fury X
>>53707202
What about my R9 Nano?
>>53707226
>$499.99
Sorry poorfag
Bought both 980's before summer 2015 and the monitor was $800 at the time.
Man though only $500 for platinum? What a joke. That's poorfag of the working class, only richfag to NEETs.
>>53707202
Sorry for misreading
I use a $700 Dell U3415W with a $300 NUC.
>>53702893
Sure, why not...
980 ti - 700
Asus pg279q - 800
Do I qualify?
>>53702893
My overall setup, including the peripherals (speakers, display, keyboard etc.), is worth about 10,000 EUR. Does that count?
The most expensive single component is the display (~1600€ at release). The most expensive component that's actually inside my case is the GPU (~400€) followed by the HBA (~300€).
