So, it has finally happened.
My good old i5 2500k is dying.
My PC started having BSODs and now will only boot if I run my CPU with only one core.
What are my alternatives? Get a i5 6600k?
Or wait for Zen or whatever?

I'm going to sell my i5 2500k as soon as I get i5 3570 I ordered on eBay. 2500k is OK, but I did a mistake by picking up the one with K suffix. It lacks VT-d. Won't get out of LGA 1155 anytime soon.

I doubt it. It's newer than my CPU.
And that my PC will only boot when one and not all cores are activated makes me pretty confident in that assumption.
If it were my Motherboard, then other components should be misbehaving as well, no?
Reseting the CMOS, and tinkering with all other options did jack. Running the CPU in "safe mode" was the only think that get's me past the BSODs
