So I bought this, was it a mistake?
>>
>>53684542
Depending on the price. <600, well done. If you spent more, it's just silly since you could get a rMBP.
>>
>too poor to buy a MBP
>>
>>53684590
im not a fag so i didnt buy a mac, and i spent 2300. Comes with 16GB of ram, a 6th gen I7, 4k display and its sexy as fuck to look at.

I also bought this mouse.
>>
>>53684636

Pretty silly to spend so much money on inferior hardware.

>>

I would never buy a laptop that uses a lambo/mustang shitty hybrid in the mockup
>>
>>53684682
yeah that looks like fucking shit. Even though I hate macs and apple products in general, I prefer it too look cool over some ugly chucky thing like that.
>>
>>53684679
Well, somebody has to.
>>
Not really, at least people won't assume you're a homosexual when they see your laptop. Though you could have just bought an i3 surface pro 3 if you really needed portability but this isn't too bad especially since it has better battery life.
>>
>>53684682
Was literally considering buying this, I just fucking hate how it looks. The hardware is up to what I need though.
>>
>>53684831
The Verge told me it was a great computer, and I trust them. Thats why I bought the S7 Edge too.
>>
Now install arch with Awesome WM and go to town
>>
>>53684636
thats a nice mouse. I'm using the old version for 3+ years now
>>

S7 Edge makes sense, since it's pretty much best Android phone. This ... doesn't given the competition.

Why would you do that, anon?
>>
>>53684882

What would you have recommended. I had a Yoga Pro 2 and it just crapped out on my last night so I thought this was good enough.
>>
>>53684929
MBP of whatever size fits you best, There is simply not competition once you spend more than 1k on a laptop.

Better trackpad making that gay mouse obsolete, much better battery life and a non cancerous OS.

> I had a Yoga Pro 2 and it just crapped out on my last night

Well, at least consider a Fagbook once this Dell kicks the bucket.

I guess you missed the "shitty" part. All the 16:9 trash are consumer laptops with the quality of one. Though to be fair, Windows is probably the biggest factor.

Improvements don't have to be huge. 4 has better weight/size, much better pen and trackpad. Might be better battery life too if I remember right.

Surface 4 is what it should be from start. Not like either is any good if OP is looking for a laptop.

Battery life is actually reduced. SP 4 is getting flak for other reasons as well. I wanted to get a SP4 but now I'm in doubt like everyone else. Might end up just waiting for the SP 5 desu

XPS is a good laptop. When you sit it on your stomach and jerk off the cum generally doesn't stick to the lid.

Also it is made from a single aluminum block so you can beat your fat wife.
>>
>>53685498
Well, it's not like SP 3 had a battery life to write home about.

SP 5 should be interesting. Wonder if there is a way to attach the keyboard to it, so it becomes more of a laptop aka. usable on the lap. At least the battery life should be in 7-8h territory with new CPU and possibly more efficient screen tech.

I for now, and forever will stick to high powered desktops and ultra portable laptops. High powered laptops are not for me.

The 2in1 life is so comfy.
I have a mushkin 2TB SSD and G.Skill 8GB SO-DIMM in the mail for this puppy.

>>
>>53694271
The 15 inch Macbook isn't portable. The xps has a much smaller footprint.
>>

Worse in every aspect. Almost same price.

Stop eating shit from your hands mate
>>
>>53694339
I'm not even >>53694180, but quad cores and gpus in laptops just make them insanely hot, loud and reduce the battery life by 99%.
Its stupid, if you need performance you can't get around a desktop.

>>53694353
I know the size of the XPS, still not portable. I even have a hard time with my 14 inch latitude, and thats smaller. you just don't have enough room on the go 99% of the time to whip a 15" laptop out.
>>
>>53694418
Also, the 15" MBPr is $200 more than what OP paid.
For that you get a better build quality, better keyboard, way better touchpad and better screen.
>>
>>53694418

>loud and hot
The xps is silent in idle and doing light stuff and lasts around 8 hrs watching video or browsing. Modern CPUs can clock down you know. Even when gaymen it doesn't get that loud.

Also the GPU is off when not needed. So literally no negative impact.
>>
>>53694464
You are talking out of your ass, every test shows that the i7 XPS15 has 5h battery life max with light use.
Thats nothing.
Also 41dB with medium load, gtfo.
>>
>>53694494
I'm talking about my laptop. With the FHD screen. Maybe you shouldn't talk about stuff you haven't the slightest idea of.
>>

The rMBP pro that costs 1000$ more for the base model, has a worse screen, has a worse CPU, has a worse GPU, and runs the singlehandedly worse OS in history due to its lock downed nature. That rMBP
>>

Fid they really test the 84 Wh battery with the FHD screen or did you just look at numbers that reinforce your opinion.
>>
>>53694597

>>
>>53694451
>For that you get a better build quality, better keyboard, way better touchpad and better screen.

Yeah no. The build quality is about the same. The keyboard being better is a meme. I've tried both, I type exactly the same speed. The touchpad is way better on the XPS, and the XPS has a 4k IPS screen with 100% sRGB accuracy. Along with having a better GPU, and a better CPU not from 2014.
>>
>>53694670
I've used OS X, not as customizable as even windows, and doesn't support half the programs as them. If you are going to use a meme OS, use windows.
