Hey /g/, what would you do if you ended up with 2-3 old laptops? I'll probably use one as a server and run Folding@home on it, but I'm wondering about the possibilities of suddenly having so many computers at my disposal.

I already have a primary laptop and a desktop I hardly use, and two monitors. But I don't have a large desk so even if I wanted to I'm not just going to run them all side by side to pretend I'm a hardcore multitasker.

Let's hear some cool or ludicrous ideas.

sell em. there is no reason to use a laptop as a server, they have a hard time keeping cool anyways.

sure, but there are many UPS's available for cheap. just my suggestion. you could use them to play around with linux distros, maybe make a PXE server

Why would you run folding@home using power you are paying for? Do you hate money? Maybe keep one as as personal backup device, keep one knocking about without a hard drive to give to someone who finds themself suddenly in need IDK.
