How can other manufacturers even compete?

They get their own robots
so they burn fossil fuels to power the robots thats reaaaaaaally green of them

The robot is located in the US.
>Apple runs 100 percent of its U.S. offices, data centers, and retail stores with renewable energy.

Technological waste is a something I really hate. Everyone is guilty of it, pushing out a new phone every year is terrible. If they really cared they'd move to a more modular platform.

>Builds robot to disassemble phones
The real reason they're doing this is proof of concept to have robots build the phones. They can test methods on old phone disassembly and not have to worry about breaking anything.

>offices
>data centers
>retail stores
None of them sounds like recycling capable to me.

If it was built here chances are they don't plan on moving it.
>>53676124
I mean the locations the quoted anon enumerated arent capable of recycling, so the "renewable energy" statement can't be taken in consideration.

Hah. Apple is perhaps the company that makes it the very hardest for people to repair their phones or laptops. And repairing when something is broken is orders of magnitude more eco-friendly than throwing it away, even if you recycle the parts (which by the way other manufacturers obviously also do). Apple is certainly not a friend of the environment.
