Let's say you fall under a bus and die tomorrow. All of your domains, email accounts, the websites you run, the projects you've been working on (and keeping them encrypted because they were supposed to be The Next Great Thing) -- all of that dies with you. Some of it has sentimental value. Some of it has monetary value. How would you go about making sure that all of your electronic possessions get inherited after your death, without compromising their security while you're still alive?
>>
I leave everything behind to my AI and trust that it finds a way to learn how to use what I left it.
>>
nobody wants your porn collection except maybe the fbi
>>
No one cares about some shitty projects I've been working on.
>>
basically- how do I make a deadman switch for encrypted data
>>
>>53670770
Pretty much, yeah.
>>
Leaving physical instructions would be your only choice.
More to the point, your family would be disgusted that you find digital property worth leaving in a will. They don't give a shit about your 5TB hentai collection, you fucking neckbeard.

I'm sure organizing your porn collections was a humongous task and the greatest achievement of your lives, but don't project your faggotry on me. I don't encrypt porn plus I'm talking about stuff that can't be re-created without me around, so my question doesn't apply to that case.
>>
>>53670570
clearly you don't have to worry about the posterity of your "next great thing". I say this because the fact that you're asking such a basic fucking question on 4chan displays how unimaginative and resourceful you really are.

>I'm talking about stuff that can't be re-created without me around
my little pony fanfiction?
>>
>>53671419
more complex than that. ths is the "next big thing". clearly he's talking about my little pony fanfiction on blockchain cryptoservices, as a service
>>

The way you can't comprehend irony tells me you're imaginative as fuck, so please englighten me. Maybe I'll be able to follow the winding paths of your autistic brain.

>>53671419
If I wrote it, why the fuck would I encrypt it? Also, which of the following words: "domains, email accounts, the websites you run" are foreign to you?

This is a question Mootles pondered a lot when he was the administer.

who's hotter, rms or twilight sparkle?

Your mother. Admittedly, she does look a lot like rms, though.

Put your master password in your will, it's that easy

as if his mom is even going to know what to do with a password for "encrypted genius work in progress"

I don't use LastPass myself, though.

I have an encrypted spreadsheet on an encrypted flash drive. My brother knows about it and how to access it. There are email accounts that he can use to access and reset things such as my domain registrations, and he has a notarized Durable Power of Attorney document that he and his wife can use in the event of my mental disability or death that will open every door imaginable once certain conditions are met.

So, not only can he access such things at need, he has the legal authority to claim them as his own property and nobody else can contest it.

If he ever decided to murder me, I'm pretty fucked. Other than that, it's tight and completely set out for about $20 and a couple hours of time invested. Not too worried about him murdering me. He needs me alive to help out with his kids for the next 30 years or so.
>>
Easy peasy.
Heart rate monitor hooked up to the internet to keep up encryption.

What special snowflake stuff could possibly exist which of all the billions of people only you could do?
>>

Something like an bot that would verify by scanning obituaries, and cross referencing with all of my account activity. Then once detected and verified, send an automated email to one of my children
>tfw no children yet
With an encrypted passcode to an encrypted drive, containing a single text file with all of my passwords, listing my achievements, and an inventory of all the things now available to them. I would have taught my child the encryption method when they were young, making it a 'fun' activity and screwing around with it till they had fond, and easy-to-recall memories of encrypting and decrypting this. Therefor there would be no electronic example of this encryption, only in the mind of my children/designated child.

As it presently stands, I would never do that. I don't care. But this seems like the best way. No greedy lawyer is gonna get my password, and be trusted to keep it secret till I die. Most of them are jewish.
