Post your monitor, and which type you prefer.
Just bought this BenQ GW2470 VA panel for like $200 CAD.
I feel like I could get a better price in the US, but am honestly not sure if a VA panel is even good.

VA = IPS, just different name
>>53669308
What do you mean?
I thought VA was the compromise between TN and IPS

>compromise between TN and IPS
Is there such a thing?
I found a Dell u2005fwp in the rubbish a few weeks ago, works well, no dead pixels.
I use it with my laptop now.
I prefer IPS most of the time, but is great for those blacks.
I'm running a 19" 5:4 at 1280 x 1024 and a 19" 16:10 at 144 x 900. I don't really care for anything above 1080 at the moment, so I was looking at the 24 inch dell ultrasharps in 16:10. Would it be worth having 3 on a vesa mount or should I just look into a 21:9 monitor? There aren't a lot of those in the 24 inch range. I would imagine that one of them at 27 inches has that problem most 1080 monitors that size have with pixel density.
Currently using a 25'' 2560x1080 IPS 21:9 from LG.
I love it, I honestly don't think I'll ever go back to 16:9 or 16:10.
i have 3 U2515Hs i love them and all but god DAMN the fucking gimmicky ass touch sensor buttons are the biggest and most unresponsive pieces of shits i've ever had to run my fingers across
when will this fucking retarded gimmick of shoehorning touch sensors on everything die off like holy shit
I decided to return my BenQ, and wait until I go back to the US to order a monitor.
NCIX doesn't let you return a monitor once you open the box, so fuck that company straight to hell.
I just bought a Samsung 2560x1400 monitor (32-inch, $449) to replace my old 1920x1080 monitor.

I have the U3011 and those fucking touch buttons are cancer.
Mine also seems to be broken because the proximity light lights up for no reason all the fucking time.

I use an HP Compaq LA2205wg that was given to me by my boss. Being neither aspie nor autist, it is all I need.

It wouldn't happen to be this monitor would it? Because if so, bravo Monitor bro.
I have pic related. Bought it for $600 when it was damned near new to the market. Best tech purchase ever. 1440p is the sweet spot for gaming/general use. Enough pixel density to not look like shit on monitors above 27" unlike 1080p, but not nearly as demanding as 4k in regards to gaming.
i have a pair of u2414h's and i can also vouch for the terrible touch buttons.
I swear sometimes it takes me 5 minutes to turn on or off a monitor
But they look absolutely stunning so i can't deny i dont love them.

forgot to mention i bought my pair off craigslist for 320 bucks. Considering at the time they were still about 250 each i went for it.
What is a good $100-$170 24" monitor?
I'm thinking of getting the GW2470 like OP, but honestly don't know about the essential/well known monitors.
4K Korean IPS monitor and Dell Ultrasharp.
4K is beautiful but mostly placebo in games. Great for workspace but not much else. Ultrasharp is a really light monitor and great color reproduction.
I really like both of them, but IPS backlight bleed is fucking painful.
>>53672414
Look for a used Ultrasharp unless you want 144hz
>>53672440
Trying to find something off Newegg or Amazon cuz I have Prime/Premier

Holy shit, are you retarded? Please educate yourself

Considering this one here, what do you think?

The backlight bleeding is really quite bad. I've had it for a bunch of years now but I will probably buy another Dell Ultrasharp, maybe 25", because they have a good guarantee and warranty and the color production is excellent.

I love the aesthetics of the U2410. they should have stuck with that design forever.
Got a Asus PB238Q overclocked to 72Hz
Previously had a Asus VH222H
Thought about grabbing the PB258Q that's on sale on Newegg right now, but going from 1080 to 1440 right now isn't much of a bump, ill probably wait to pair it with a GPU upgrade.
Definitely like IPS over TN. Design Degree forces me to like color over refresh rate. Eventually Ill have both.
