Alright fellas, I'm in need of a new laptop. I'm looking at the Asus zenbook UX305 series. I'm not gonna use it for much, internet browsing, movies, little flash games, etc. Any recommendations? Trying to keep it under $1000
Thinkpad.
xps 15 if you're a dumbfuck

They're pretty fat though, I'm trying to go as thin as possible
I am also in the market for a laptop around $1000 USD

Oh perfect, just send your $1000 to my PayPal and I'll just order 2, 1 for you and 1 for me

Another option is the Dell XPS 13 pic related, but the Asus seems fantastic for the price. I'm in the same boat OP and I think I'm gonna go with the Asus desu
email?

The Asus is (apparently) thinner than the new macbook, and for another like $50 you can get an i5. Worth the roughly $750

Do not by anything but a fucking Dell
Dell ONly
Asus is Trash

I dig the screen on it, but I think when I checked out the internals I wasn't really impressed for the price

Is the Core M it comes with not good? It's $600 on the Microsoft store atm, less with their student discount

I agree completely although with the Dell Outlet coupon you can get a refurbished i5/8GB/256GB model for ~$800. I'm just not sure if the $200 more you're paying over a similar Asus is worth it just for muh bezels

If I got the Asus I'd be getting the base Core M version, I don't need any more than that, I was just saying its a pretty big bump in power for ~$75. Yeah no, not worth it for the bezels, I really couldn't give less of a shit. Just nice to have.
dat bezel tho
I use it for portable deving.it's great for that, makes no noise, and impresses clients and devs alike.
