what the fuck do you think?
any "kit" like this just bundles shit at an inflated price to trick idiots like you. What are you even going to use the pi for?
>>53654256
I want to be a maker. Isn't this what makers buy?
>>53654256
if you buy the parts separately it would cost about the same as the bundle, moron
you're looking at the wrong places if cables and plastic cases are 10 dollars.

Power supply you need to be legit to get low noise, good power supplies will handle crummy power lines whereas cheap ones may drop too much if the fridge kicks on or something. I had this issue with cheapo power supplies and 1st gen raspis in my old house.

by "legit" I mean use the stock charger that came with a phone. You probably have one or two spare. Those are usually good quality.

how much is the shipping? i bet it's like 10 dollars. that's why the products are cheap at that website
>>53654288
what do you mean "be a maker"
why do you want the pi? what for exactly? If you don't have anything in mind then maybe you should spend your money on something else.

Get a project before you spend money on things you might not even need.

free shipping on all those items. You can just check the "free shipping" button when you search. The catch is that it ships from china, it'll take a month to arrive
MCM electronics has a pretty good cost on kits, if you don't mind no heat sinks.

>why do want the pi?
because i want a computer for entertainment reasons other than the one that i have.

And if you don't, get something that costs 10-20$/€ and buy it from an electronics store or from a mobile provider's (AT&T for example) physical store. That way you can maybe return it doesn't work.

about the same price as the one in my pic
I still find it hilarious that people buy this proprietary broadcom garbage with everything sitting on a crippled USB bus.

if something doesn't work you can file a complaint with amazon, and not pay for what you ordered. They'll refund you.

What kind of entertainment? It's cheaper to buy a m8s Android TV box if you're looking at Kodi. The m8s performs much better too.

Dunno, MCM is listed as an official retailer if that matters to you.
Fuck the starter kits, they just give you a bunch of garbage accessories. Grow a pair and fork out the extra bucks for non-shit peripheries because you'll be better off in the long run.
>>53654496
i don't want something that is similar to a fucking roku box
