So I got the Asus Maximus VIII Extreme, I assembled the computer and was extremely careful. When I finally hit the power switch, I get no POST, no nothing, the computer just starts power cycling. After a while, I found out that whenever I put RAM sticks in either sockets A1 or A2, the computer turns into a cunt and refuses to start. If I put RAM in slots B1 and B2 or just B1, it will boot up just fine.
I tried loosening the cooler, checking for bent pins on the CPU socket or damage to the CPU and found nothing. WTF!

Anyone else encountered this issue before?

If it's anything like the X99 motherboards you're not supposed to use the A-slots if you've only got 2 memsticks, but rather B or D (depending on model).

Did you even RTFM to see whether A1 or A2 are where you're supposed to put the RAM?

I had also this issue with different mobo. I ran memtest to be sure it wasn't fault of RAM sticks, even tough I had used those sticks on earlier build. Got really mixed results and decided to return mobo. Fault was in the mobo and warranty got me a new one which I'm running now.

TOPKEK, Gigabyte cannot into BIOS"es"
Meanwhile Asus with fucking beatiful BIOS, you can even use a mouse for navigation, only downside is all their mobos look like gaymurr shit, why is it so hard to stick to black, or black/grey FUCK

Your board has a POST readout (denoted by red arrow on pic related).
What no does it display when the error occurs?

Sounds exactly like Gigabyte BIOS.

Doesn't matter though. The motherboard is clearly fucked. RMA it.
