Desu, if Linux is faster, why is Java slow as fuck on Linux?
Eclipse on Arch/XFCE is barely usable, while it runs fine on Windows 7.

It sounds like you think Linux is cocaine for your computer, which it isn't.
Next time lurk more and post this in one of the support threads.

Java is not slow. Eclipse is.

Fucking idiot

that's the state of /g/ right now.
Retard will still think C is fast even if I write retarded compiler for it.

Java =/= Eclipse. Just because that IDE is slow, doesn't mean Java is. Maybe there are some compatibility issues with your desktop environment.
Check out the Arch wiki for Eclipse, the last thing it says is:
When the SWT GTK3 UI is buggy and sometimes unusable, You can try to disable the use of gtk3 with the SWT_GTK3=0 environment variable when you start eclipse:SWT_GTK3=0 eclipse
So try that

Also, if you JUST want to see how "fast" java will go on your computer without Eclipse, you can use the Linux compiler by typing in the terminal:javac YourFile.java
and then:java yourFile
Use IntelliJ like a sane person.
