Not a single one of the posts is answering the question.

To OP
It's pretty hard for something to be so bad it literally kills the company. There have been a lot of really bad releases but you have to royally fuck up to kill a company with it.

No shit, Sherlock, that was the basis of my post.

They're trying hard to sell themselves.

>>53628342
HP is still around, along with Dell and Cray.

>>53628392
Still killed NeXT.

Makerbot (In progress)
Amiga
I'm having a hard time thinking of companies that fit. I can think of big tech flops and companies that died from the march of time, but not flops that killed the company because of it.

Sega's not dead, and if you wanted to blame anything, it'd have to be the Saturn.

BeOS and the BeBox. Jean-Luc Gassee was looking to pull off a Steve Jobs except he didn't manage to do it. Haiku OS when?

2 MB, 3940x2300
Atari? I guess it depends on your definition of "tanked." It probably also depends on your definition of "tech." AOL? Yahoo?

Companies don't start manufacturing unless they know they can recover from that tech failing in stores; that's the first page of any business or economy textbook. Look up any worst-tech list, and it's all Microsoft, Nokia, Microsoft, Blackberry, Microsoft, Acer, Sony, Microsoft.

A common exception is any company that intentionally produces a cheap piece of garbage to scam idiot consumers, then cashes out before anyone can lawyer up.
>>
>>53627995
but... they just needed developers to like them. it could have been GREAT. Muh responsive UI.
>>
>>53628589
By that logic, Sega died in 1969. A merger doesn't necessarily mean the company died, and Sega Sammy is a holding company for Sega. Sega is still it's own company, they're just owned by someone else, like Nest is by Google.

Did 3D TVs killed any Company?
>>
>>53628777
Not really. The players of the 3D TV craze were big enough to eat the hit after everyone threw down their glasses and said it was stupid.

My local electronics store has had the same batch of 10 uDraw tablets in a bargain bin for years now. They've also got a pile of 5-6 "Tony Hawk Ride"-bundles for sale at 25€ each.

There was some Italian motor bike company I read about the other day that released a 2 stroke race bike in 98 but had to many problems with the original model they had to redesign it for 99 and that one was good but the company still took too big a hit from the first year of bikes sales and died.

Amiga (the technology) didn't bankrupt Commodore. It was a very long series of stupid management decisions that did them in. Stuff like sitting on the Amiga 3000 for several years, even though it was designed, prototyped, tested, and ready for market.
