Windows General thread.
My Windows 10 install started randomly rebooting recently. Yesterday I was in the middle of browsing a webpage and the machine decided to reboot for no reason. It's definitely a W10 issue because I never had the issue in 7 and certainly never in Debian.
What's the deal with random reboots?

Debian is my distro of choice, and I'm using it at the moment. I've been using W10 a lot recently because I like to play SFV.

Is there an updated debotnetting guide for W10 somewhere?

lol.
Install enterprise. Disable updates. Block all microshaft adresses in hosts or router. Microsoft will probably find a way to botnet your pc anyway.

Install BlueScreen Viewer, check the dumps, google your problematic issue.
It's bad optimalization really. My laptop would BSOD when torrenting over wifi with Win 10. It would randomly BSOD due to other issues I haven't investigated in detail. I got fed up and installed Win 7. It's been 2 weeks and no problems whatsoever.

optimization*
Damn false friends.
Check logs, update drivers, if you upgraded and didn't do a fresh install, try a fresh install. Basically just check logs and anything old that might be carried over from 7..check logs.. Find out what the system is doing when it reboots.
tfw there will never be a windows 9: the rebirth of windows 7 with directx 12, no aero, no metro, no botnet

If I boot from my USB drive (Windows To Go or whatever), can I mount a bitlocker encrypted drive from it? I have logins for the other laptops, but I need to boot from the USB since it has all my shit installed.
