Sup /g/
I bought a new cooler for my i7 processor (noctua nh-u9b). After installing it and putting my z87a motherboard on, none of my motherboard 4pin fan slots are working. I've tried arranging them in different ways but nothing seems to work. Not even the cpu fan pin. The only thing that works is the one connected straight to my psu.
My old cooler had a 4pin head and the noctua has a 3pin like all the other chassis fans if that matters.
Any help?

Lack of power to draw, or that giant piece of shit is flexing your motherboard and causing it to fuck up.

You have your RAM in the wrong slots
if u hadn't spent 200 spaceburgers on memefans u could take it to best buy. U should probably ask you're wives son if xie knows

The cooler fans should be facing left to right, not up and down

His cooler is too big for it, I have a similar cooler - he doesn't really lose significant performance.
He could try to use cooler horizontally and rise the fan a little up.

I dont think that matters since there's a ceiling fan

Actually lol he had enough space, I just looked at the pic - op is retarded.
In my situation, I did not consider the possibility of cooler being too big... my fault 100%.
Take the mobo out and reaseat it along with every other connector in the pc. Could be anything but rebuilding it which doesn't take long is the most effective way to troubleshoot the problem. If nothing works after fiddling with it for sometime, Google the problem and see if others came across it. If anything, the board could have been damaged while you were installing the cooler.
