I'm a disgusting neet and I need a job that pays $35,000+ but doesn't require a degree. I largely don't care what it is but any advice would be appreciated.
What do?

Kill yourself

Please don't bully.
>>53599949
This is probably the best advice. You fucked up by not going to college and developing social skills normally. I would recommend working at a video rental store but those don't exist anymore. Gamestop probably has 3-4 more years before they go under. I'd suggest checking them out.
>>53599956
and you cant even fucking meme right, it's "Pls No Bully"
>>53599966
Gamestop is a minimum wage job, buddy.
I'm looking for something I can learn programming for (in 1-2 years) then apply.

This is why you get a degree, folks.

Hey Falcon I'm a sophomore in Uni switching to CompSci.
What sort of job can I expect to do after graduation? I plan on networking and attending career fairs at my school. Also how what sort of internship would I do?
Get your degree kids, or you'll end up like Eggy.

How hard is it to learn for being a web dev?
What do I need to learn?
just figure out what a good software tool people need and start developing that while you learn.
>>53600062
He works fucking 90 hours a week. Jesus Christ.
>>53600047
>What sort of job can I expect to do after graduation?
Depends on your interests. CS is a pretty wide field:
-Programmer
-Network admin
-DB guy
-Web developer
-Mobile developer (which is somewhat more niche than a general programmer)
There are probably a few more, too.
>>53600108
Can you not pretend that Web Dev isn't a decent field to pursue? You top out at $80k which isn't bad whatsoever. No degree required.
>>53600108
Well I'm currently learning C++ and really like it. I guess I should also learn CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to give me more options. Did you code you website yourself?
>>53600118
Very well. I will no longer pretend that Web Dev is not a decent field to pursue.
>>53600146
>Did you code you website yourself?
Only partly. I was a mobile developer, so I can do HTML and JS, but CSS is not really my thing.

protip:
if you don't know how something works, but it sounds like there'd be courses in it, you can usually access university course syllabi for free.
it's a good way to pace your own studies, and to find out what software, books, and other resources are getting used in the field.
some universities have also made their course materials available online for free. they're pretty major under-utilized resources.

>tripfag actually being useful and helpful
Is it opposite day?
Read Net+ and Sec+ on your own, take the tests at a local testing center, apply for helpdesk and entry level analyst positions
>>53600195
In addition to this: For programming, pretty much ANY language in the top ~50 most used languages will have hundreds (in some cases thousands) on online tutorials. You do not need a degree to pick up programming, just dedication and a willingness to learn.

College is not a guaranteed ticket to a high paying without experience, connections, good resume, and a healthy industry/region.
It's works, but you have to be smart with that.
