Alright /g/, what's the best skype alternative? I've been using Skype for years and the program just seems to get worse and worse every year. The constant ghost calls, lack of support, and unchangable blue/white colors make it unbearable.
Facetime? Hangouts? Viber Video calling?

Wire SUCKS. There's a huge delay in chats. Tons of bugs, etc.
Telegram is good...for chats. No calls like in skype.
It'd be super good if you could associate your number (like in whatsapp) and an username (like in skype), that's important too.

I actually said it kinda had it, and then went on to explain why I personally felt kinda was reasonable because you can adjust their volume (from anything to zero) at an indivudal level, until they fix their shit, or read for one minute on how to do it. Freelancer here. I /have/ to use Skype. Absolutely no way around it at all. Potential clients are not interested in your special snowflake secure encrypted FOSS solutions; they'll move on to a non-autistic developer who will work with their chosen communication method.

Wtf are you on about? Reddit has contributed almost nothing. Tox's biggest developers have always been from /g/. The only thing reddit did was give Tox media attention which didn't really contribute much to the project. The ONLY prominent guy in the project that i can think of that was a redditor was stq.
