I wouldn't touch the devil 13 - they failed to cool it when it was 2x290x and 2x390 is going to have virtually identical thermals. The card can't hold clocks and throttles.

There is a fucking good reason why the 295x2 uses hybrid cooling.

it doesn't depend on async, it depends on whether or not the API (DirectX, yadda yadda) allows it.
DX11 doesn't allow, it has to be exactly the same datas in each GPU's vram, DX12 does allow but the developper has to implement it because that isn't as simple as pressing button so don't count on seeing it implemented a lot.
