how much of ones programming ability is based on natural talent?
I took AP comp sci last year back in HS and I got by with a C because I browsed 4chan all period. Now Im starting to want to get into programming but I feel I might not have the aptitude if I couildnt even get a B in AP comp sci (no I didnt listen in class, but I studied at home for 20-30 minutes before quizzes and still did pretty poorly)
should I bother learning on code academy/ taking some classes in college?
if yes

If you struggled with the basics you're going to have a Hell of a time doing this stuff for a living. If you can't be bothered to do course work in class it doesn't even sound like you're all that interested in programming, so why bother? Either way getting good at programming requires just as much experience as natural ability, if you need convincing to take a semester at college or a few hours of online tutorials then it's probably not for you. Also kill yourself, I guess.

If you can order a pizza with your program, you should be good to go.

poison yourself at a wedding some time today
Programming ability can be learned.
If, however, it never clicks for you and you keep forgetting syntax because you only learn the language on a completely topical level, then programming is not for you and you should probably work construction.
