A buddy is willing to sell me his iMac 27" for $600.
2011 model, I don't have all the specs though. Has an SSD and basic keyboard/mice (not magic). Seems to be in really good condition on the outside
Should I do it? I wanted to save up for a retina one but this seems too good to pass up. Plus I can use it as a second display when I upgrade later
Your buddy is ripping you off.
Sounds good to me OP.
Recently bought an MBP '10 with the i7 and the Nvidia card for sub $600
Mac's are pretty comfy desu

>2011 imac for $800
well, people are stupid
>>53548460
>Should I do it?
No, it's a Mac.
Good deal OP, do it!
I love my 27" imac
>>53549495
1099 is for the 21" imac
27"s are over 2 grand new
>>53549533
well, the 21" has higher resolution than the 27" from 2011
the new 27" is 5k resolution.. of course its gonna be expensive.
Yes, and with the money you're saving treat yourself to some beats headphones and buy some rare jordans, gold plated HDMI cables and don't forget to buy into the next lottery
> Should I do it?
Yeah, it's a fine deal. Most second-hand 2011 imacs have a price about 720 USD or higher.
The screen is worth around $400 by itself so I would take it as long as it is in good condition.

I wouldn't buy a 2011, they had issues with the ATI GPU, there was a repair programme for them, but you're only covered for 4 years after the computer was sold.
$300 repair if it dies, computer won't boot if that happens.
