Wait what? Water cooling is louder.
>>
>>53542501
Niche product.
>>
stuff like liquid metal thermal paste also gives a 10%~ difference in temperature, but it voids the warranty of the cpu in the process - yet people still buy it, stop shitting on other people's niches if you don't understand their use case

>>53542621

if you buy shitty all in one kits then of course it isn't going to be quieter, but then it isn't going to cost twice the price of a high end air cooler

You fucking retards don't realize that water cooling is more efficient at transferring heat therefore the fans can run slower? All of you get the fuck out of this thread and kill yourselves.

10 years ago it made a difference

>>53542501
It's obvious that watercooling is for kids playing with their toys. There's literally no fucking way to rationalize wasting so much time and risking a total destruction when a fan works just as well.

Man I love the fact that I have been using and messing around with SSD's, watercooling, enterprise versions of operating systems, high-end sound cards since like late 1990's, now you guys say they are meme's

look at all these spergelords that don't know the difference between all in one cpu watercoolers and custom loop setups

let me know when you can get a cpu and 3 gpus operating on the same air cooler and have it quieter than a custom loop

there has to be something better than air and water cooling, how do I achieve true solid state cooling?

You literally cannot overclock x99 chips to 4.5ghz with an air cooler.

The reason to watercool isn't because of performance or sound, it's because if you put a big air cooler on Skylake you'll bend it.

I ran a FX-6300 at 4.5GHz easily with air, zalman cooler, worked fine. Switched to a Corsair AIO watercooler, running at 5.0GHz now, cooler then the air cooler and quieter for sure, too cheap of a system for a custom loop.
>>
>>53543785

Not really

>Implying air coolers fans can't be regulated too

>>53543792
Nope. I have to best waterblock and it still reaches 92c max load. A d15 will fail instantly because it wasn't designed for a 200w+ heatload.

Only a handful of coolers from a certain brand will cause bending, and that only happens while moving the case with the cooler installed.

I have a 6600k and a noctua poo-d15 and didn't experienced any kind of bending.

>The difference is less then 50% in currency value between high end air and quality water.
>Noise ratio is at least 1/3th less in favor of water, transferring heat better and spreading heat over a higher surface to cool.
>Being able to OC CPU n GPU way over air cooling temps plus giving longer life to the parts with better cooling vs having to buy a new part what costs 10x the cost of a air cooler, better invest in better water cooling right away..

Don't know what shit you use, but I have been watercooling for like 8 years, first custom loops now AIO coolers, none ever leaked, guess you do a shitty job or buy real shit parts.
>>
i designed and built my own case in such a way that a catastrophic leak is impossible. its not impossible that at some point i experience seepage, but even if every single fitting started dripping, no damage would occur.
>>
>>53544496
>implying
Just don't buy shit parts..never had problems with leaking
