Let's talk desk chairs. It's about time I get a new desk chair and I need the comfiest chair ever. What chair do you have?
Full mesh keeps my butt sweat free in the heat
If you don’t plan on spending at least $500 then don’t bother.
>>53541823
Maybe not $500 but somewhere up there. $300 would be perfect.
>>53541707
Are mesh chairs even comfy?
>>53541583
>comfiest chair ever
Shits expensive though, I payed almost 2k€
>>53541891
It is for me. I think some people might have problems with the bottom being mesh because they sink in it but I'm a skinny fuck so that isn't an issue.
>>53542168
How is back support? I might pick one up for work.
>>53542178
Lumbar support is solid. I just wish it had more adjustment. Overall it took me a little getting used to but I prefer it over the Aeron in this case as it gives you a better posture for long sessions. So I'd say it's perfect for work.
Looking for input on the haworth very task chair, anyone own one?
>>53542457
Looks pretty basic.
>>53541823
You can buy an used Steelcase leap in good condition for like 250 on craigslist
Anyone has experience with that $200 IKEA chair that's long?
>>53542768
Assuming someone is selling one.
>>53543156
If you live in a major city they're pretty common.
>>53542457
i own one. it's got great options for adjustability. 4 way arms (up and down, inwards and away from you, forward and back, and anglular inwards and outwards), back lock, tilt resistance, forward lean, height adjust. up and down lumbar support with left and right adjustments on the lumbar for asymmetrical support if desired. on top of that, it feels well built, the back mesh feels sturdy, and the seat material is a faux leather that feels quite different than the typical officemax/depot/staples bullshit.
>>53541891
No, and if you don't sit in them it's even more awful. My work has a fetish with mesh chairs for the desks and I just want to kill myself everyday. I'm tempted to go out and buy my own chair for use instead honestly.
I would opt for a cushioned leather chair anyday over a mesh one.
>>53542852
it's proportions are strange and no height adjustable arms is a big turn off. most posts on reddit about it from people who own it for long periods of time end up not liking it.
literally the best thing in the world, and you can buy replicas for cheap too that are just as good.
>>53543231
>I would opt for a cushioned leather chair anyday over a mesh one.
Not with 90 degrees being the norm. Sure there's air conditioning but I'd rather save on the bill for home.
>>53543259
Damn though. Those cost a shit ton.
>>53542852
I own it
I'm glad I got it but if I waited longer to get a better one that would have been good too
Still, at the time when I really needed it and couldn't afford more, it was the best choice I could have made.
>>53543259
Eames chairs have one mode and it's fully reclined. I don't see how they are good desk chairs.
>>53542852
I wouldn't trust IKEA chairs. Maybe for stools or something but nothing for desks. They look so weird.
>>53543308
This. I own that chair. It's not for desks. I already tried.
enjoy your shit backs by age 50
>>53543348
>buying a dildo ball chair
>>53543363

>>53543440
Which is why you got ripped off
>>53543439
You know it
>>53543440
*looks* cheap
if expensive shit looks cheap it's not a good thing
>>53543455
You've never owned one so your 'opinion' doesn't mean shit to me.
>>53543459
I have owned the gt omega pro for 4 years and it's still perfect, I just want a leather variant.
>>53543488
Nice post-purchase rationalization. Enjoy your overpriced ricer chair.
>>53543520
As I said I already own one, I'm not trying to rationalize anything.
>>53541583
Real men don't use chairs.
>>53542852
The Markus?
The arm rests aren't adjustable so it's probably uncomfortable for everyone over/under 5'9" for different reasons.
Reminder that the Ikea Markus is a meme chair
>>53543544
This. There are proven negative impacts on health for people who sit for a long time.
Best get a $500 plank of wood to balance on while you stand at your desk instead.
I'm really considering asking my boss for one just to see his face.
>>53543388
AND NOW HE'S DEAD
thoughts on this for a poorfag like me?

Hehe...meme
>>53543259
One day Ill buy one
>>53544107
enjoy your blasted anus
That chair in the picture will be fine, but you must put a boat cushion on it and sit on that.
The boat cushion will compress and make a very comfortable seat for you. Buy a boat cushion, they look like this. They come in many colors.
>>53543407
10 out of 10 chair. My wife's son has been using one for a while and he says it's great too. Goes great with his room Razer™ gaming aesthetics.
If you are gamer you just have to have one.
>>53544582
that's true. my frame rates went up by 27% whilst using it too.
>>53542050
well you got fucking ripped off i built my own for 20 bucks
>>53543594
So this is a real thing and not just a meme?
>>53544665
What's the pink towel for? To soak up the ass sweat after your 24h coding sessions?
Anything better than this
For a real men!
>>53541583
these types of chairs always look comfy but the back dips in too much and neck rest is too forward, better off just with a near vertical flat cushion for the back
>>53545148
You gotta be a golem with bad posture to like them.
>>53541583
I have that exact boss chair. Was nice for about 6 months. Now the fake leather coating is peeled off everywhere
why the fuck aren't there any nice, plain chairs like pic but with a HIGH BACK and I don't mean up to the neck, I mean full head support tall, and no shitty stick-out tiny headrest
