What does /g/ think of Project Fi?

What does /g/ think of Google expanding in utilities in general?

I have project fi.

I like it in general, but I wish they had an unlimited data plan. It's probably still cheaper than most services, but I find myself not using internet when I don't have wifi because I know it'll cost me money.
>>
>>53540886
It is comforting with how you usually pay for 10 gig a month or whatever so you use your data pretty much guilt free but in the end I am sure this project Fi would save a lot of cash because I rarely go near my limit.

If Project Fi were to get HTC 10 or whatever I would jump on board instantly next fall.
>>
I'd use it if it didn't have meme-tier coverage
>>
Retarded, boost mobile is better.
>>
the fuck, you people pay 10$ for 1GB of data?
how the fuck can you live with yourselves
>3$ for 1gb
>lte speeds (70mb/s on my iPhone)
>shit 3rd world country
it's like america is a thousand years behind niggers

It's a meme carrier, use boost if you actually want to save money

I'm on the T-Mobile 100 Minutes/Unlimited/5gb for $30. Can't find a better plan anywhere else.

I think Google made this carrier as a joke

Why would I want a piece of shit like that? I already have my S4 with boost mobile. 128GB microsd evo+ (80MB/s transfer) too.

this

How so? Shut up dumbass.
>>
>>53541365
Because it's a family plan.
>>
>>53540527
I've had a good experience. The worst part is not being able to choose my phone. I would typically go for whatever has the best battery life.

The Nexus 6 i got when fi startedis a downgrade from my Droid maxx I was using before.
>>
>>53541746
How much do you pay each month and how much data do you get? I'm paying boost $55 a month for unlimited data, last month I used like 90GB.
>>
It's a cuck carrier, almost as bad as verizon.
>>
>>53541502
Project Fi or T-Mobile? I don't understand how it would make a difference anyways.
>>
>>53540527
>T-mobile network

literal dogshit
>>
How much is this really after taxes and shit? I'm Straight-Talk $45 plan, but after taxes it's like $53. I'm a poorfag and I'm trying to save cash everywhere I can. I don't even come close to using the 5GB of data because I'm on Wifi 90% of the time I'm on my phone.

T-Mobile coverage is shit my area, but I'm not sure about Sprint. I'm using the AT&T SIM and the coverage is fantastic, so that's really what makes me hesitant.
>>
>>53541943
I generally use like 2-3 gigs. So my bill fluctuates between 40 and 50 dollars
>>
>>53542126
Good for you. Still, project fi is still hella more expensive than boost. Not sure why you consider project fi a good deal. You seem like someone with money to blow so paying $10-20 more for your phone bill really doesn't matter I guess.
>>
I always hear boost mobile has shit signal while this project fi advertises 4g in my area using multiple networks for maximum cock pleasure, what the fuck is going on?
>>
>>53542102
If you legitimately want to save money go with boost. The $30 plan can further be reduced to $25/month if you agree to view ads on your phone. You also get upgraded to 5GB of high speed data after you pay your bill on time for about a year.
>>
>>53540527
Honestly, this seems less worth it than my current t mobile plan.
>>
>>53542226
Boost has less coverage. If I change off project fi I'll go back to Verizon
>>
>>53542244
YMMV for both. Some people get stellar coverage with boost or project fi and sometimes they don't. It's always good to check for coverage and see for yourself. Though get boost if possible since they have the cheapest non-family plans right now.
>>
Project Fi is overpriced as shit.

>$20 for the device fee, and $10 per GB used

Meanwhile on T-Mobile, Boost, Metro PCS, etc, you have options for unlimited data plans at the same cost of 5GB from Project Fi. Which has literally one advantage. Simultaneous access to Sprint and T-Mobile networks.
>>
>>53541502
But it isn't you dumbass. It's an offer exclusive to new customers either through their website or through Walmart. You get 100 minutes, unlimited text, and 5GB of data for $30, $35 in my state after fees.
>>
>>53542341
>$20 device fee

What are you talking about?
>>
>>53540527

I'm on fi, its good but I am going to be moving to t-mobile. I just payed a $120 bill with them. T mobile gives me 10gb of data for and talk/text for only $80
>>
>>53542383
They charge you $20 a month for the base service. The equivalent to the device fee on carriers like Verizon and AT&T.
>>
>>53542383
He's taking about the unlimited call and text fee that serves as a base before your start charging for cellular data
>>
So is boost the cheapest option if I want unlimited lte?
>>
>>53542468
pretty much, yeah.

>living in rural America
My condolences
>>
>>53540527
> $20 per month for unlimited talk and texting
>$10 per gigabyte of data used
>$10/GB
Are you serious?
I pay $10/mo for unlimitted phoneand texts plus i get 50GB/mo of internet over LTE and after 50G Bi get just capped to 1mbit/s.

TFW moved from $45/mo 5gb plan to Fi (I was using all of the 5gb given BTW)
TFW only use 500mb-800mb per month on Fi so my bill is now $25-28.

TFW can text on my laptop, and get calls on my secondary phone.
