Pretty much. Linux has its use; don't get me wrong. For enterprises which will hire staff specifically to customise/support their software and maintain security, Linux is great. It requires less money going out on licenses.

I used to have both win7 and debian installed, but my computer got soaked by a pint of beer. I figured that water couldn't possibly do any more damage, so I rinsed it in the tub.
A week of drying later, I was pleasantly surprised to find it still worked, but I got a weird error where the laptop couldn't find the operating system. I reinstalled GRUB, and it couldn't find the OS. So I went through the Debian rescue shit, and it couldn't find the OS. So I reinstalled Debian, and it couldn't find the OS.
I gave up and formatted the whole drive. Now it works, but my legal win7 is forever lost because it was a shitty OEM key. Rip in peace, windows.

Removed Windows 8 partition today. After using Manjaro for over a year there is really no need for Windows (at least for me). Updates were shit and sometimes buggy, performance was decent but not as good as Linux on my setup. If I still played vidya I would keep W8 just for that.

I use it daily, it's the only OS that works relatively fast on my poorfag computer but unlike a lot of people here I'm not saying it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Most software I encounter is full of bugs and retarded dependencies or abandoned and deprecated. I wish I could use Firefox on Windows without it crashing every 5 minutes but it's impossible.

The issue and the cunt tasks is to load in the Nvidia drives into the kernel. I crashed the system 5 times trying to do so.
But it is very stable. If you only game with titles that are light, you could get away with it. However linux/gnu is not yet ready for being a gaming system.
